I haven't posted for the past couple days because to be honest it hurts to much to sit at the computer. I've just been laying low, taking it easy, resting my back, and reading. I haven't been doing much for exercise like I'd hope to be but I'm exercising my mind by reading Twilight. I read in bed until 2am this morning I was so hooked and wanted to know what was going to happen next. Please no Spoilers!!!
I might try and get out for a walk today.
I'm praying that when this weight starts to shed so do my back problems!!!

Give me S'more!
Okay so I think by the title of my post it's pretty obvious what is on my mind right now. I just finished checking facebook and all my friends are talking about camping, and fires, etc. And all I can think about is getting my hands on a freshly made over the fire S'more. And to think my husband has never had one, what a deprived child. ha.
Todays Eats:
2 slices ww toast w/brown sugar, cottage cheese
yogurt, granola, banana
ww turkey sandwich
kraft dinner
last nights leftovers: sirloin, shrimp, mushrooms

Week 1 Day 3 Couch to 5k

I almost skipped doing the C25k today as my back is really bothering me. Like I said I went for an adjustment yesterday and my right side is no longer bothering me but now I wake up to my left side bothering me. I hate how my back just randomly shits out on me. Excuse the language, but I get completely frustrated when it comes to my back problems.
On a happier note...I'm LOVING my book "Miss Invisible" by Laura Jensen Walker. So much that I have just a little less than half left!! But that's how I am. I either love a book and plow through it in no time, or I don't love it and I just don't ever finish it. When it comes to books I'm not a we'll see if it get's better kinda girl. lol.

Tasty Tuesday
Todays Eats:
2 donuts & chocolate milk <----can you believe that?
Let's just say that I had read about someone else eating donuts, they were on my mind, I tried to shake it, but I just couldn't. This morning on my way to work I stopped at the 7-11 and got 2 glazed donuts. Stopping to get something to eat on my way to work is something I haven't had a habit of for years and I surely don't want to start it up again now. But I won't lie...they hit the spot!
turkey & cheese sandwich
cucumber w/ranch
strawberries
cottage cheese
popcorn
Me and the husband decided to eat at The Keg for dinner this evening. He had a gift card someone had given him for graduation and I was craving some tasty steak. This is my favorite place to eat steak! mmmm.
1/2 baked potato loaded
1/2 sirloin steak
mushrooms
dusted onions
calamari
2 triangles of fresh bread
not too bad. I brought home with me 1/2 sirloin steak, mushrooms, dusted onions, and a skewer of tiger shrimp. so basically like 1/2 my meal.
Todays Exercise:
Tonight was my scheduled night to do Week 1 Day 3 of the Couch to 5k but my sciatic/hip/it band were really bothering me. I went for an adjustment after work and it seems to be feeling a bit better but I thought I'd give it the night off. I'll do it tomorrow evening while the husband is away at an information session for a possible job!
It's a nice cool evening so as I sit here I debate just going for a little walk to get some form of exercise in for the day. I'm gonna pass though. Today will be my day off.

Moody Monday!
Moody Monday just about sums me up today. I woke up cranky & stressed. Cranky for a few different reasons, and stressed because I was awaiting news on a loan that we had applied for. A loan that we later today found out we were denied. As defeated as I feel at this point I'm trying my best to hold my head up, have faith, and BELIEVE that it happened for a reason, and we'll pull through this.
I REALLY wanted a picture of my weigh in today but the damn batteries were dead in my lil' camera this morning. Oh well.

Catch Up.
I'm sad that Sunday is nearly over and tomorrow I'll be back to work. I had 5 days off work with the husband but was a bit bummed that none of them were really beach weather. Didn't quite go like I was expecting but regardless it was still nice to have some time off.
The past couple days I've had cravings. I've had hunger. And I am pretty sure that those have stemmed out of boredom. I ate some things that I didn't really need such as popcorn and chocolate. Yeah who doesn't love something sweet and something salty, I mean it's okay to have this stuff I just didn't need to have both!
Friday I was up again at 5:30am except this time I didn't fight to get back to sleep. Instead I got up and went for a nice long walk. We met up with some of my husbands family for lunch. Me and the husband browsed the mall, mostly the bookstore. He was so generous to buy ME a book with one of his gift cards. If you knew my husband and how much he loves to read you would understand why I say he was so generous as to spend his gift card on me. lol. I purchased from the clearance rack Miss Invisible by Laura Jensen Walker and I can't wait to start reading it!!
We also hit up Old Navy and I purchased a few items mostly from the clearance rack. I left feeling a bit depressed though. I long for the day that I can walk into a store and just pick any item of clothing to try on, and actually have it look good on my body!!! Well news flash - that day WILL come!
Yesterday was another quiet day. Me and the husband did meet up at our friends place to go for a swim with him and his daughter. It wasn't exactly hot out, but the sun was shining and the water was surprisingly warm in the pool. It was lovely!!
It's getting late, and just before sitting down to write this I finished Week One Day 2 of the C25K so I'm a little sweaty. Time to shower up and settle into bed to watch the movie Sex and the City. Hope it's good!

looking back on todays eats I'm pretty happy though I can say that I had a bit of a sweet tooth. I let my eyes get the best of me and I should have stuck with just one scoop of ice cream. I also let my emotions get the best of me and I resorted to my "comfort food" of coffee and a carb.
I won't be buying suckers again for quite a while. Two in two days is too much but considering how much candy I used to eat back in the day I've given up a lot!
Todays Exercise:
biked 7.5 miles
It was BEAUTIFUL weather today for biking. Sunny with a breeze. Loved it!!!
Tomorrow I'm planning to do Week One Day 2 of the C25K and it should be interesting because my quad muscles are a tad bit sore today but I'm just gonna do my best. Mental Note Kari - Remember to stretch afterwards!!!
